Hi guys.

Just a quick note to explain why I haven't been around much lately. Those who know me will be aware of my Titanic connection and it will be the 100 year anniversary next April. I'm currently working as a freelance researcher for the BBC which is sucking up a lot of my time at the moment. I'm also assisting Southampton Council with a project for the new museum which is due to open next year. On top of that I've had a few private commission sculpts to do, and I have also returned to playing the sport of American Football. Of course this is all when I'm not doing my regular job as a firefighter.

As you tell that doesn't leave me much hobby time at the moment, but I still check in from time to time to see whats going on. Although I've made a deliberate decision to boycott anything new that GW churn out, I still have my ridiculous backlog to keep me interested and once things calm down I'll get back onto it.

Hey Dave!

Blimey sounds like you've been busy (and still are). Great to hear about your work for the BBC and good to hear that you're still sculpting. Good luck with your BBC work and museum work, when you're finished them next year it'd be great to hear more about it if you have any free time at that point.

As for the hobby, you're not the only one starting to stop buying new stuff from GW. I've made that same decision myself.

Anyways, good to hear from you and good luck with your work in the coming year 8)

Yes down with the man! Nothing Finecost for me, and I'll try to fight the urge when they release the Hobbit minis.

Well UKFB by time you arrive back into the hobby maybe the site will be back to being 100% fully operational again, hopefully. Have fun with the research stuff and it's great to know that you'll be playing some real football now, :p

Glad to know that you're doing well and staying busy, Dave. Best of wishes on your endeavors, but don't forget all your old OR buddies!

Majestic Bear is technically still running although I'm still undecided on whether or not to replace the existing stock once it has gone.
