SBG - Banner bearer in fight

Hi!

A quick questions (actually two) about banners in SBG:

1. If my banner bearer is in a fight does he still give a re-roll to all combats within 3"?

2. If my banner bearer is in a fight does he give a re-roll to himself as he is within 3" of his banner?

1) Yes, the banner does still give the re-rolls even in combat.

2) Yes, the banner bearer can also benefit from the banner.

I know the banner gets a -1 in a fight, but does he suffer the -1 to wound?

No, just the -1 penalty to win the fight.
