Looking forward to seeing how that turns out :)

I'm still contemplating what colour to paint the terror of arnor IF I use him for the challenge - I can't decide on a colour scheme, theres too many possibilities! Might just be easier to paint a balrog hmmmmm

Hello all after a long break away from the forums and I'm kicking off with painting a converted troll loader.

There are some very cool monsters here so far, especially the two conversions (spuds4ever's troll and beowulf's beautiful spider)

Ps, Beowulf, if you don't mind could you pm me a complete army list for your dol guldor army because I'm really intrigued.

Here's my Isengard Troll!

I'm still going to place spent arrows here and there, both on the base and on the troll.
Good luck to all!

Not that I am aware of...just has to be completed by the end of the month. So if someone entered the competition on say 9/20, you could do that.

That would be 20/9 in the Uk, there aren't 20 months.

Here is the proof, obviously I'm just starting the base, it will be a lot more elaborate. Anyone want to venture a guess what this will be an ode to?

I may be wrong, but my best guess would have to be Bilbo's encounter with Smaug. :P

Man... I wish I could get hold of a metal dragon, but it's unavailable at that blasted GW for quite some time now. Ever since Finecost was first released, I tried to getting it.

Done painting my Balrog's sword and the fire that runs down his spine, those were the fun parts. Did some major work on the wings but not too satisfied with it.

The count is so far:
1 Cave Drake
1 Fellbeast
1 Treeman
2 Vampire Terrors
2 Giant Spiders
1 Balrog
1 Dragon
1 Eagle
2 Trolls

This is Jude's proof picture of his metal Isengard Troll:

I'm not sure if I'm going to enter anything for this challenge yet, I might just finish painting my WoMT or Army of the Dead instead. If I do enter then I will either paint a metal Balrog or Shelob.

I really like the metal Isengard Troll model. It was my first Troll, not counting the plastic Cave Troll from MoM set.

IMO the original Isengard troll doesn't look right, like a large overweight uruk-hai. But I'm gload how many monsters are in :yay: , I am wondering whether to repaint my converted metal Mordor Troll.

Ps Beowulf03809, can I please see your fulll army list for your WOTR Dl Guldor Army

@GothmogTheWerewolf - I'll get some of my typical Dol Guldur lists written up this weekend. In WotR they are really "Mordor" lists and include allies from Angmar and/or MM for theme purposes.
