Many thanks everyone :-D

I'm working on some Uruk-Hai warriors now, and busy building an Isengard troll for the army and the september challenge. It's a metal one, so that's going to take some work. I remember now why I only built one of my Mordor Trolls... :-X

I'll second that! 8)
As much as I hate spiders, I am looking forward to seeing the final result of this model!

Just Google spider images (if you can do that without getting the creeps like me) and I'm sure something awesome will jump out at you...well hopefully not jump at you. Hehe
As creepy as they are some have some incredible markings on them and should make for a very unique looking model. :)

Very nice base! Those front two left legs reaching out towards the poor victim from the rock are excellent.

I have the same problem, having Shelob to paint. While I don't normally mind spiders (unless they are hairy, in which case I'd probably scream like a little girl) but googling for spider images was a bit too much... :)

I am liking it as well. I hope that you don't re-prime. Keep at it, and if there are particular areas are unsatisfactory you can re-work that one small area. I rather like the different colors and mottled carapace.

I say only reprime if you have thought up a better colour scheme that you would like, otherwise stick with it and improve upon it. It already does look good so keep touching it up until your satisfied. I have second guessed about my Balrog's wings, but there's no way I'm re-priming that after all the time spent on it, just adjust and touch up.

I definately would NOT reprime - It looks great , the colour contrast is excellent especially on the legs. If you imagine it on its base all completed it will look completely different. Have confidence in your abilities and see it through until the bitter end!!!
