Surely these monsters can move 12"/28cm....but all I can find listed is the 8"/20cm limit on Trample. Let me know---and also where you found it. Thanks

According to the Harad Sourcebook (p. 11)

Quote:
...move the model up to 8"/20cm directlyforward...

Aim, then move.

The One Rulebook (p. 53) also states 8"/20cm for movement.

Page 11 of the Harad Sourcebook is the Trample limit already noted... The One Rulebook statement: is that also under Trample, or is 8"/20cm listed there as Normal Movement? (I have only MoM, so I can't check).

Or do we have to assume--because it is the only movement listed--that 8"/20cm is for both Normal movement and Trample?

I lost an olifant stampeding off the table last game, because my opponent was sure that 12"/28cm was the normal movement, and I had her only 21cm from the edge, poor thing. Kinda important to know for sure.

No, a Mumak's normal movement is trample - it's always 8"

Great... so I'll assume it is more clear in the One Rulebook. Thanks.

I read the entry in the MoM rulebook more closely (pg53?)...and it does seem to imply that the Mumakil's normal movement is Trample (as noted above). I thought Trample was some special attack mode; now I think that just moving forward is Trampling for this beast. Therefore 8"/20cm is standard.

Thanks all.

Why are you saying that 10" is standard for the Mumak?

Reread it. Nowhere does it say 10". Third paragraph under "Moving the Mumak - Trample Attack" clearly states the movement distance.

Misprint: I meant 8"/20cm, not 10'/20cm.

There were times I was frustrated with the move distance of the Mumuk in SBG..thinking it should have been able to go a little faster. Then I played it in WotR where it's move distance is random. I will NEVER complain about the SBG move again.
