Hi!

After (almost) completing a 1000 pts Isengard and Gondor army, it's time to set a new goal.
I got this one in mind..

Lothlorien
1 Haldir with elf bow and armour
2 Galadhrim Knights with bow
4 Galadhrim Knights
8 Galadhrim with bow
8 Galadhrim with spear
8 Galadhrim with glaive

Khazad-Dum
1 Dwarf Captain with shield
6 Khazad Guard
8 Dwarf Warrior with shield

Rivendell
1 Elladan and Elrohir with heavy armour
1 Erestor
6 Elves with spear and shield
8 Elves with glaive

62 models, exactly 1000 pts.

I've considered swapping Elladan and Elrohir for Glorfindel, lord of the west and putting in Wood Elves rather than Galadhrim so I could field some more High Elves.
But this seemed more effective to me..

So, what do you think?, suggestions and remarks are always welcome! :-D

Why not tinker a little with the Rivindell list to give you maximum possible elven bows.

I could do without Erestor I guess, that would give me room to field 6 High Elves with bow and heavy armour, I like him though.
Maybe fielding 6 spears, 3 glaives and 4 bows, (994 pts) would be better.

I'd agree about dropping Erestor. It would let you give the Dwarf captain throwing axes, allow you to boost your Galadhrim bow count so you could volley (these could be swapped for Wood Elf bows, saves a bit on armour costs), and let you pick up a few Guards of the Galadhrim Court. Elves with pikes...I've gone on about it before, but it's really handy. I'd also give your knights shields, even the bows, because the expert rider rule lets them benefit from the shield, and they are too expensive to lose to random S2 archery. And yes, maxing your high elf bow count seems essential...again to save costs you could proxy in wood elves with bows to stand as high elves with no armour.

My advice: Upgrade your KG into iron guard, get your captain throwing daggers, drop erestor, get some galadhrim court guards and buy as many throwing daggers/bows as possible

Personally i would max the bow limit, especially on the Elves but even the Dwarves can have a nasty effect of battering the enemy with those S3 bows.

Plus if you have the points then get some throwing weapons in there, bit better on the charge when you get those double charges.

I totally agree, dwaves are the ost underrated shooters, they can't really be killed by bowfire and yet have really tough bows!

In a previous version of this list I didn't put Ellandan & Elrohir in, but had Rumil and 6 Guards instead.
In that case I only had heroes under like, 80 pts... kinda missed the real leader.

Had a bit of an Heavy Armoured theme going on here, but I'll make an alternative list to see what happens when I swap Galadhrim for Wood Elves.

Stay tuned and thnx you guys! ;)

Not a bad choice at all. One thing you might consider is dropping the high elf contingent. All it's doing is forcing you to split up your bow limit in a clumsy way, and doesn't let you make effective use of the Lothlorien strengths (mixing WE with the others, adding in Guards). All you're really missing is heavy armor, but that's what dwarves are for. You could still ally in the Twins, maybe even give them an honor guard of 4 high elves with HA, shield and spear for theme, but focus the rest of the elf portion on Lothlorien.

I agree about the dwarf bows, and I do like using iron guard, but I wouldn't swap all the khazads.
