Well here is my idea for a Feral Captain after seeing that there isn't one in the game at the moment,

If <name here> starts a Fight phase Trapped then he gets a +1 bonus to his Strength for that phase.

Any name suggestions for this guy would help but as for the model i am going to use and the conversion i am going to do i am not sure yet. Might have to pair him with Dogbret (or Brakroth, haven't decided yet) and see how they do.

if i made that model i would give it def 5 instead but that profile looks really good IMHO.

Well the D6 was as the standard one is D5 and often when advancing to Captain or Hero the model gets an extra point of Strength and Defence.

For a name, how about Lugdush? He's mentioned in the books as one of the Uruk-hai who captures Merry and Pippin.

Not necessarily. eg. Black Guard Captains have the same strength as normal Black Guard.

That's true... Sometimes captains are almost as good as the warriors.

True, but also that D6 is kind of for the same reason why a Berserker is D6, the fact they can shrug it off really, not the capabilities of the armour.

As for the Black Guard that is true, but really S5 infantry seems a bit much to me, though at 12 points and with few equipment options it isn't too bad.

ah fair point, i was thinking d5 as the ferals have very little armour but that has made me rethink. good idea

Well i just wanted something a little bit tougher as i can't see why Berserkers are D6 but a Feral is D5 and actually has a little armour on, unlike the Berserker who is near naked lol.

Though from what i read of Ferals they are basically Berserkers that have two hand weapons than one big two handed weapon, however they seem to have a lower Courage, odd i would say.

Really? They look about as insane as a Berserker, if not more so. But still i suppose they are 3pts less so that has to come from somewhere.

But then again i just prefer Uruk Scouts, they are deadly with Orc Bows.

Those Black Guard Uruks are odd, though i like the Drummers special rule. I wonder if they have that for any other SBG army?
