Last tournement, my opponent's Hasharin could not re-roll his (poisoned?) blowpipe shot. The special rule states that all poisoned weapons get the reroll...so why was the blowpipe not included? Granted, I don't think the description specifically states that it is poisoned... Is that the reason?

Yes, if it says the Hasharin's bowpipe is treated as abow with a range of 6" etc, but if it doesn't say its poisened, it isn't poisoned. If it does, then it is.

In the Mahud special rules on p14 of the Harad sourcebook it says 'Poisened Blowpipe. The poisened blowpipe can be fired in the Shooting phase if the bearer did not move in the preceding Move phase.'

But in the Hasharin profile it says 'A Hashirin carries... a blowpipe (treat it as a bow...)'

So the Hashirin can move up to 3" and fire his blowpipe (as per normal bow rules). The Mahud cannot.

The Hasharin do however benefit from the Bane of Kings which is better than the Poisened Arrow Rule! Each time a Hashirin strikes a model with a ranged or close combat attack, but fails to wound he must re-roll the dice. That is much better than just re-rolling on 1s :)

The Rule as the book has it:

The Bane of Kings: (skipped the fluff), Each time a Hasharin strikes a model with a shooting or close combat attack, but fails to wound, he must re-roll the D6.

So even if it isn't 'Poisoned' then still get the re-roll as it is a shooting attack. He gets the re-roll no matter what, for all his attacks.

'FireKnife'
