Hi Guys,

I'm preparing for Heroes of Middle Earth and I see that a lot of the tournament lists include the Shadowlord especially combined with the Spider Queen to make up for the lack of Defense.

However, the HoME book uses the Legions of Middlearth book, and the Shadowlord is not included in the Nazgul, I know a few of the ringwraiths whose rules are on the GW website have a caption saying they are included in the Nazgul. However, the SL is not one of them. Is there something I don't know, or is the SL not allowed in HoME as it uses Legions rules?

Thanks,
Cute-Hydra

P.S is there still a minimal model count? or can you bring an army of 1 if you so wanted?

Shadow Lord is in the Nazgul list as per the updated lists from Mordor book. (all lists from books that came after LoME are updates of LoME).

No, you may not use 1 model, the minimum is 3 and maximum 75 as per standard Legions rules.

I think it's basically the old GT. The new WotR tournament inherited the name "Grand Tournament", so GW made up the name "Heroes of Middle Earth" for the SBG tournament.

At least, that's what I think, I could be wrong...

We have so little official GW event support for SBG/WotR in New England that I really don't know what they have going on any more.

Yeah, it's the GT under its new name (it was the same in 2011). They dropped the format to 6 games from 8 though. Still 700pts, 2 armies, LoME, scenarios are Meeting / Domination / Contest. There are 10 secondary objectives which you randomly select at the start of the game and each has 3 levels of achieving bonus points (5/10/15) in addition to the standard points for wins.
