Hi guys, I'm new to this site,

Look, there's something in the movie that bothers me; Orcs are stupid as [word deleted], but still they are able to speak without practising?
Doesn't that bother ya 2?!

Thanks,

Peter

PS. sorry for bad english

Orcs aren't stupid, just more agressive and rough because of their nature. They have their own culture (or even cultus) and speech. Have you considered actually watching the movies and follow the story, or reading the books? :)

Yeah I did, but I think the game suggests these guys are very dumb [orcs], but you haven't really answered my question, they spawn and they just simply... SPEAK?! [The Uruk'hai]

1. Uruk-hai are NOT stupid. 2. Lesser Orcs don't speak much. 3. Ignore the spawning, the film sped up the process 4. I am not bothered by the Orcs/Uruk-hai in the films, they are done well 5. I second Amarthadan READ THE BOOKS

What I mean;

Lurtz is being spawned, Saruman stands before him, while Lurtz has never spoken before and exists for about uh.. 4 seconds, he is able to answer Saruman's question: 'Whom do you serve, my fighting Uruk'hai?' 'Saaarumaann...' isn't that weird? And THAT is what I mean, Lurtz never spoke before, has never practised. [as I said before, my english isn't very good, so you maybe misunderstood me, forget all the things I said above, THIS is what I was talking about]

Oh I read the books, but I'm now talking about the movie

I see your point, but it'd be kind of silly to show the entire learning process of Lurtz learning Saruman's name right? The books mention that Saruman built up his army fairly quickly. The only way to achieve that effect in the movies is by making it look like they just pop out of their bubbles and are ready for fighting, communicating etc. :)

Let's not discuss dolphins, everyone knows dolphins are supernatural creatures.

Swimming is a reflex, for speaking you need some knowledge...
But dolphins have nothing to do with LOTR

It's instinct. Morgoth created the orcs via magically mutilating elves. They then began to reproduce via magic. Orcs wouldn't be very scary if they had to actually "grow up" like humans. They are simply spawned fully grown, and fully matured. They of course learn more after they spawn, but they have enough knowledge to get by right at first.
