who would allie with Rivendell?

Im building up a Rivendell army hopefully lead by glorfindel. I was going to have a rivendell army with no allies but i dnt wanna buy 24 odd metal high elf spear men. So if i have a single high elf warband who should i allie them with? More importantly if u could reference a battle in middle earth that would be great. Im guessing lothlorien is the obvious choice but who else? Thanks

hi i had a similar problem as i play rivendell, u could use..

-----The grey company
-----Erebor
-----Lorien
-----Mirkwood
-----Eagles
-----Ents
-----Arnor

i use the grey company and a small number of dwarves, and i would also like to get 3 ents, and mirkwood

arnor was allies with the elves tough elendil who was gilgalad's strongest allie.
grey company though aragorn and the childern of elrond, and old arnor.
lorien and mirkwood, other elves.
ents, elves tought ents to talk.
eagles, live a few miles along the mountains.
erebor, old alliance with kazad dum

If you bring Gildor I would suggest Wood elves seeing as they can now pose as the house of Finrod and Gidlor is known to spend time in Rivendell

Numenor is the obvious choice, as you get Warriors of Numenor in the plastic box set with the High Elves.

Rivendel can ally fairly widely, although their closest allies are the Dunedain and the Dwarves of Erebor.
