I have one for the Uruk Hai too and will drop down to my GW store to get some more today.

I would glue on stats to the cards, it would come in handy that way instead of carrying around a book flipping through pages.

Nice idea, but they don't do cards for individual heroes or various types of warriors from the same army (e.g. Rohan warriors and Royal Guard). It would be great to have all of the forces with their own cards, so you could mark on them wounds and might, will, fate that get used up during play and then wipe them off again at the end of the game. A valuable gaming accessory.

But that's a topic for another thread, this one is about the new paints.

Not what I heard. In fact the quote I was told was: "our supplier has never had such a large order, ever" in reference to the sheer amount of paints being stockpiled for release.

The bottles even say Made in the Uk

Nope.

They may do all the filling of the pots in house, but I do know for a fact there there is a paint company in the U.S that is making the paints for these products. I know because I am friends with one of the managers of the plant.

They make great paint too, stuff from crappy poster paints to paints that museums use to restore valuable and ancient artwork.

Oh for the US it might be different sorry, never thought of that. But for the UK they have their own paint-making machine

wow, i was wrong. i thought, looking at the website, that games workshop had put a few p onto the paints, but now i find out at the shop that they are the same price as the old ones.

also, i love the little painting cards they had in stores and i even got to paint a little bit in the store to find out what they are like

Urm, actually, a company in Manchester makes the paints.

Well from what the managers were told at Head Office at the National Managers meeting, they're made in Nottingham, in GW's factory.

Regardless iof whether GW makes it or not, they are there, and they have deposed the old paints, HobbyCraft still has the old ones, so I got some yesterday including the last Bleached Bone, unfortunately they had no Devlan Mud left.

whether they are made in manchester or nottingham i do not care, this has made me happy, just got on of the new texture paints, and although maybe not as realistic as some of the modelling sands or talus you can buy they are still good and a lot less messy, so they get a thumbs up from me

I imagine the textured paints are best used for weathering cloaks.
