When I was buying every week/month I'd spent around the €40 euro's.
Now I'm spending very little and when I do, it's in used miniatures.

I spend a couple of months ago quite some money on Imperial Guard and Blood Angels.

I'd say I spend a couple of thousand euro's for my whole collection.

I'm around since the game came out, bought each movie-based starterset.
I was looking through some old WD's (2003) yesterday... 24 plastic warriors 17,5 euro, so the price has doubled in nine years.

Since the majority of my collection is old, if I am to sell it for half the price it goes for today... I'll (roughly) break even :P

Not exactly, you're forgetting inflation, though that won't be 200%. GW's price rises are still exorbitant  .

I never buy directly off GW so that keeps my costs down nicely! Pretty much all i do is trawl around on eBay looking for whatever I think my army needs or if i see a real bargain i cant help but buy it! :)

You can play pretty cheaply if you just stick to ebay and the 20% discount stores online, giftsforgeeks is what i normally use. Although the onilne stores are all pretty much wiped out of stock since GW recalled its entire lotr range! :x

Ebay doesn't work for me, I lose every auction I'm in!

Ebay also never has anything good on it for a good price in America.

I got gandalf the grey on a horse with no tip to his hat for hardly any money when I've seen him go for £20+
