looks good but u cant use the kings guard upgrade without gil-galad
Didn't know that! All I've got is the rulebook that came with the Mines of Moria, so I'm a little in the dark in regards to the upgrades.

I haven't been playing SBG for very long but here is what I think of the list from what people have told me (I play elves as well so have asked the same questions)
1) As hobbitlord says you need Gil-galad to use Kings Guard (there his royal guards) but from what people tell me you shouldn't take it as you don't actually need it as I remember it it adds to fight value and maybe courage neither of which elves need (ironically basically every other army would benefit more from these)
2) I don't think Celeborn is very cost effective hero (never used him just going of what people say) you may want to use Rumil and Haldir instead as I assume you will want to keep that warband as Lothlorien
3) Personally I like to take a 'super' hero like Glorfindel, Elrond or the Twins etc to counter enemy heroes/monsters you may want to take one of those instead of one of your current heroes this is however personal choice so don't feel that you have to change it.
Apart from the above it is a really good list and as far as I can tell your troop choices are really good which is what most people get wrong

I have to disagree with the others, I think Celeborn is a great choice, as for the extra point each of your troopers get another courage, and he also has aura of courage to keep people from running anyway. His stats are equal to Imthris and with the magic make him a strong choice.

I think I'll scrap Celeborn. Immobilise is nice, but for the same cost as Gil-Galad, it doesn't seem worth it. Plus, Ringwraiths will probably sap his will before I can really do anything

If you want to use King's Guard, then you could swap Erestor for Gil-galad, and Celeborn for Rumil, which I think is the same points and gives you a very similar army, but with no magic and a bit more might
Did just that.
Warband 1
Gil-Galad w/shield
6 Kings Guard w/heavy armor and shields
4 Kings Guard w/heavy armor, elf bows and spears
2 Kings Guard w/heavy armor, shields and spears
Warband 2
Rumil
6 Galadhrim w/armor and shields
4 Galadhrim w/armor, elf bows and spears
2 Galadhrim w/armor, shields and spears
Warband 3
Legolas w/armor and elf cloak
4 Wood Elves w/spears and throwing knives
4 Wood Elves w/elf blades and throwing knives
4 Wood Elves w/spears and elf bows
36 models
12/36 bows
9 might
700 pts
I just kept the Kings Guard because I had 12 points leftover and nothing really to do with them.
