If a large model like a troll or dragon is in combat with a good model, can it be shot at? I have been told that it can, and have played that rule in some of my games because my opponents think that you can but I cannot find it anyware in the rules. The rules say good cannot shoot into a combat. Is there another rule later on?

No. Good models may never shoot into combat. This is true if whether they're fighting a Goblin, Balrog or two Mûmakil.

Legolas is the exception.

you could actually shoot the haradrim in the mumaks howdah, but yeah, no shooting into combat. Curse the free peoples morality.

yeh I actually read this in an old white dwarf recently where someone asked as a balrog is so big is it ok to shoot him in a fight but the answer is no with the exception of legolas's aimed shot, baddies however can go for it which it quite fun lol

Oh yeah, I forgot about Legolas. I was just talking about the general rules that apply for all other models.
Yes, the how'dah crew can be shot, because they are not in the fight.

OK thanks, so other than legolas's special shot and shooting at the mumakil howdah you can never shoot into combat. That clears a lot up.
