Not quite, usually two coats including a highlight, I am still learning to paint as I have only been in the hobby for just over a year, so my goblins were first and were just a couple of quick coats and then wash, but I paint with more detail now and when I start my next army I really want to
Push my skills on my heros.
On saying that though, when I joined the club they were quite impressed by the painting standard, certainly good enough for them - so they can't be too bad!
The photos don't really do my armies justice - bases and faces I am told, but attention to detail means my dwarves took ages painting belts and pouches, then highlighting, washes etc.
I have just packed away my Rohan army (I really haven't got that warm feeling about painting them) and have now got out my gondor horde....
...now they have got me motivated, perhaps I will do a WIP, but I will take on board the tips from earlier as there are so many troops the army is nearly as big as my mordor!! I think I am going to have to work Out a schedule to complete them

That being said I should add that all models are awesomely painted. Good job man. Keep up this truly excellent work!!
How long did it take you to build those bad boys up? Did you concentrate on one force at a time or just collect all simultaneously?
