Boromir is finished :) I'm very happy with how he came out, and he looks great beside the others :) The Fellowship is almost finished, just Aragorn and Gandalf left :) Anyway, here he is :)

Fantastic painting on Boromir! I agree about the poses of the Amon Hen models. Some great models. 8)

Aragorn is complete! :D Very happy with him, I think my fellowship is looking great :) I'm on a week off now, so hopefully I'll get Gandalf done in the next couple of days :) Maybe get to enter him in the painting competition too :) Then my fellowship will be complete, and I'll be doing a nice display base for them :)

Also, I love the new-look site, well done guys! 8)

Not the best, but I'm still happy with him :) I wanted to get him done for the painting competition

Anyway, that's my Moria Fellowship complete, so hopefully by next weekend I'll have their display base done :)

Yes agreed you've done a great job with Aragorn - its a really difficult to sculpt and you've made it look fantastic. I like your Gandalf too. You are really making these mediocre plastic sculpts very special indeed.

Thanks again for all the compliments and encouragement guys :) Quick update, here's the display base for the Fellowship, Moria themed (quite plain yes, but it was my first one, and anyway, y'know..Moria) Anyway, I'm still very happy with it :) I used the warhammer modular movement tray and some air-drying claw, however I probably won't do that again, the claw is a bit awkward to cut the holes in and it shrinks when drying :-X I might try some thin mdf and drill the holes out, then tacking it to a piece of hardboard?

Image

Next up is probably a start on my uruk scout army, Lurtz' Hunters (with dying Boromir!)

Nice looking fellowship. The hobbits are especially realistic.

I like the fellowship, they look very realistic! I also would love to see the uruk warband, because I love the look of the uruks that captured the Hobbits

If you look closely you'll also notice Ugluk and Dying Boromir!

Woooooaah been a long time since I was active here :? I've been extremely busy with school, but I have gotten some stuff done, so here they are :)

Image

Image

Three of the Uruk scouts, I did these three in a (very small) batch, rather than my one-by-one usual technique. Very happy with them, I love the muted leathers, and the uruk skin is so cool :-D

Image

Image

Image

Image

And that's the uruk with Pippin :) That one was so nice to paint, great sculpt, and the colours on Pippin break up the leathers nicely.

And here's a group shot :)

Image

You'll notice of course that I haven't based them yet, for the sole reason that I want all the base colours to be the same, so I'll just base them all at the same time. And here's what I'll leave you with, the bases, ready to go:

Image

And the rest of the army, patiently waiting for my paintbrush :)
