Since Gw closed the production line of MOM does it mean that the prices on buying the minis from MOM wil rise?

Probably be in a slight demand, but there were so many of that set produced and it was THE LOTR set for so long, it will never been a big price item.

The only item that may rise in price from the set is the plastic cave troll. The fellowship models from th set have been sneakily repackaged into "The Hobbit SBG" boxes and are now a set in their own right. The goblins are everywhere you look which leaves the troll - unique to the MoM set. Expect this model to fetch a bit more now.... Lol if anyone has one for trade shoot me a pm :-D

Oh come on Kev, your talents would be wasted on that thing! Especially when the metal ones go for relatively little on eBay.

I have one but it is painted Kev. Anyway, back on topic, the plastic fellowship box is seriously overpriced at £30. Would rather pay the extra money and get the FC set.

You can pretty easily find a metal set of the Fellowship for about half of what the new set costs, and the Finecast ones. I suppose if you really want specific poses/models that would color the decision though.

I wanted the full Fellowship and found one (still more available) on Ebay for about $38 USD. REALLY nice sculpts too (though I much prefer the poses of the Sam/Frodo in the Finecast box).

There are 3 metal poses:

1 with a hammer and chain
1 with a spear
1 with a hammer held 2-handed over head

I have all those but not the plastic 1, hopefully I'll use them more with the new rules.

The plastic one has two poses, well to weapons choices to be exact... Either spear or hammer
