I was thinking about buying Tom Bombadil and Goldberry and was wondering how they play and if they are any good? :)

I've never played with them, but, defending a castle or playing an objective game, you cannot really beat them. Tom is master is one of his rules but is also true. He suits games where you need to hold a position as no one can enter his control zone unless he lets them. Same with goldberry. Their magic also looks like it would be really useful, and in my opinion, they are a bit overpowered for their points cost

According to the rulebook i have, they can only be part of a good army playing in Barrow-downs or the Old forest. Of course if you make a house rule, you can use them wherever you want. They are used in 1-2 scenario battles and they are extremely overpowered from my point of view

under the free peoples sourcebook, their points have doubled and they cant be used anywhere. They are both unkillable as they can never lose a fight. They are annoying to play against though. They used to be banned from tournaments but for some reason they are allowed now.

Not unkillable with ranged attacks though are they?

Maybe good for tying up monsters, they can't do any damage even though he wins the fight. "Tom nor any other good model involved in the same fight will strike any blows."
