Hi guys, I have just started to paint my elves. It has been a long time since I bought them and I decided that I must paint them. Yesterday I paint the first one. It needs a lot of more work on the armour, face etc. but it is like this so far :

What do you think? I was planning to change the robe in black insted of dark brown but I'm not sure.

I really like it!!! 8) These are the closest to the Movies I've ever seen!! The cloak I think is perfect and I think for the hair, fletching and skin some agrax earthshade or devlan mud would work on those. Really good painting.

Great colouring and I like the highlights on the cloak, subtle but effective.

Looking good! What colors did you use on the cloak?

Wow, I think he is great. The highlights and layering in his cloak are stunning.
Hmm, black may fit more with the other colours. Maybe you should paint another Elf with black robes and compare them.

Some Update here!

I think I should give the face a more light color because it seems to be too dark. The cloack is painted with 50% "the fang" (used to be shadow grey) and 50% black . Then i just add more the fang to highlight and more black to give it shades.

I agree with a little lightening of the flesh but the rest is fabulous. And then a little work on the base - greenery or stonework to represent Helm's Deep? Either would be good.
