I've got some Rivendell Guards to be lying around looking at me accusingly, so Elves.

Wow, I was convinced Ents would be popular here as they are an easy option for novices to hone their skills, but it is in last place!

Well, as can be seen on this last sculpting challenge, there are lots of non-novice sculpters here. 8)

And Ents are a bit of a big project for a full-scale sculpt, which what most people enter.

I know I could sculpt an Ent quicker than I could a dwarf. But it does of course require a lot more putty.

I agree with Dave here, I think sculpting big monsters is A LOT easier than true 28mm scale models.
An ent is a highly logical choice, especially considering being treelike they needn't be symmetrical, or wholly proportionate.
Add to that they're tons of fun to sculpt.

I vote Elves as my current sculpting projects are such. Would be nice to have a timeframe and reason to start & finish a project with support from the forum!

Alot more scope for development for ents, so, if only just to see some more spectacular results, I have voted for them.
