The skill level on this site is beyond comprehension! How did all these people end up here? Is there some sculpting cult that I stumbled upon?

I love the detail on the hands and feet. Very impressive. The head looks good, but almost looks like it needs to be set forward a little on the chest. Great work

i agree, this challenge is really stopping everyone from hiding their hidden talents

@feanor, i like the head, but i can't help it but to c him with some frog like blubber neck beneath is chin, u made him fat enough for that :)

Well I didnt know last week if I would get this finished in time, and it is still WIP today, but here is my proof pic. Pics of the final mini will be uploaded later. In my best Rolf Harris voice, 'Can you tell what it is yet?'

That take on The Great Goblin reminds me of the guy in Goonies. I like it!

We will be demolishing Middle Earth to make way for a hyperspace bypass.

Thanks guys 8)

I now present my entry into the Goblin Challenge compy. It isn't by any means perfect as I rushed it out in one week, which is very quick by my usual standard.

From page 24 of The Hobbit:
Gandalf - "Your grandfather Thror was killed, you remember, in the mines of Moria by Azog the Goblin."
"Curse his name, yes," said Thorin.

I liked the big pale Orc that the movie portrayed, so using a few fuzzy screenshots that I found on youtube for reference I give you Azog the Defiler:

Agrrr, half an hour late :/

Sorry guys I didn't update anything since like, one and a half month ago, I lost momentum because of Christmas and ending of a term.

Here is my entry.

Well known captain with changed weapn, GS is still soft, but I have no strength to work more on his hand.

Then there is a shaman, and its not finished yet. That green blob on a chain will be dwarf skull :) Someday ....

And the last one is new Moria taskmaster :) thought about doing Moria-ish half trolls, but then his arm needed that lash so much :D

Ill make some comments after a weekend, when Ill be more alive (weekend studies, last gathering before deadline of some projects)

Nice work Silverhand! looks nice, and thinking it's done in fimo instead of greenstuff.. really well done!.

Ukfb: i am glad u gave that guy a knife instead of a mace. In the movie i felt the scene that he was looking to much like sauron with the mace. I never liked the guy in the movie. He was the one thing that dissapointed me... I felt he was like some kind of voldemort that went to the gym, given a mace to resemble sauron. I don't have that feeling when i look at ur sculpt, so be proud about that one!

Thanks for the feedback guys. :)
@ AcasualDream: I agree, that would've been better.. I rushed things a little to get it done in time.
@ garmenhord: agreed. Like AcasualDream said, it would've been better if he would have a neck.

Ukfreddybear: your Azog looks amazing! Although I don't like his design from the movie, you made a wonderful sculpt! Also like the bulked out chest better now: looks splendid!

Silverhand: awesome models too! There's also some very nice ideas used. :) Could we get a close-up of the slave-driver?

Sorry it took so much time. My camera is pretty ****, dont really want to take makro shots, especially in red. So I primed it and add some wash (as you see, it didnt do much better, time to change camera :x )

Yeah, focus on a whip, great :-X

Also this time I used my photobucket account rather then O-R upload, its a bit too small for good photos
