Yazneg Stats Released???

hello

I was just wondering whether Yazneg's stats were released yet or do no rules exist for him yet? Just wanted to know if I buy one whether I can field him or not.

Not yet but keep an eye out for stats within the next couple of months. We were told at the ToS to use him as a regular captain until then.

Using previous named captain conventions, I'd probably just make him a Hunter Orc captain with +1 Might and give him options for a fell warg and a lance. Not terribly interesting, but it's how a lot of lesser named heroes end up.

I'm sure other people could speculate on more interesting stats, though!

I wouldn't take the absence of Yazneg's profile as evidence of a journey book, to be honest.

From what I've read, the reason there is currently no profile for Yazneg is that the character design was originally intended to be Azog, and the switch to the primarily CGI character design for Azog was made pretty late in the game. The character designed as Yazneg was then relegated to a crony. GW would have started their work on the Hobbit line before that decision was made, which is why there is currently no Azog model, but there is an Azog profile. Since the character of Yazneg didn't exist, only the design, that is also why there is no separate profile for him. I don't have the Hobbit rulebook, but I believe I remember reading someone referring to Azog's equipment options, one of which was a lance and the other an ax - that matches with the Yazneg model with lends evidence to this scenario.

You end up seeing more-or-less the same thing in other products too - in the Lego sets Yazneg rides a white warg and is included in the "Attack of the Wargs" set, depicting the last scene in the movie.

Yazneg wouldn't have the Many Blades rule either, like Fimbul and Narzug, but he would have a higher Fight, like they do.

Just looked in the Hobbit SBG book, there are stats for a White Warg already,
my guess for Yazneg is the same as Azog but with 3 fate, not 1. Then a few minor Special Rules. Possibly even a 8 Fight Value?

Sorry, but unless I've completely misread your post I can't see there being any chance whatsoever him being like that.

A mid-range hero along the lines of Madril or Narzug is plausible.

Movie Yazneg wont be fight 8...fight 5 I reckon. Similar to fimbul. And dont forget, Yazneg died in the movie so that is auto 1 fate point.

Ok ok, Yazneg is just a captain now.
He is not F7+ infact I'd be suprised if he wasn't F5, D5, A2,
With absolutely no special rules just 3might.
