btw never throw a model through a fight involving one of your one dwellers in the dark, it knocks em down too ie S5

if you are throwing a model and it hits just one unit in the fight, do all models in the fight (with a strengh less than 6) recieve a wound and are nocked down? And what is about spear support? Same question for Sorcerous Blast: does it effects now spear support?

@leoma do you have the rulebook? It states quite clearly what happens for SB in the description for SB. As for hurl, I'm not 100% sure. I would say only those in line with the model being thrown. But yes, the dweller would be knocked over as would the great goblins.

I have the small rulebook but can't figure it out to. Played yesterday a game, but we encounterd some situations and didn't knew what to do.

*What if you hurl a model in a line of combat. Does it effect online the models in line, even if they are in combat?
*Or does it effect all the models in combat?
*And thirdly if these models are knocked prone, does the enemey still attack them in that turn, (they are then trapped)?

I've treated it as a blast.
So it hits the combat. Knock everyone prone. (but tbh you want to knock the spear support over n leave the combats usually, that way you are 2 dice to their 1.

As for the 2 prone models in combat. Its the same. If you win you stand up. No strikes on either side
If it is only the 1 model knocked prone then only the combat happens as would normally.

Well, of course, I don't think there's ever a situation where two prone models can end up in base contact, and if they did, neither would be able to count as charging the other, so there wouldn't be a combat even then.

Agreed. If neither model charged into combat then there is no fight. Just because a model gets knocked into you via a Blast or Hurl it doesn't create a fight. This isn't the bar. :-)

Every model, I presume.

So can good monsters hurl someone at a fight or are they restricted in the same way as per shooting?

I am pretty sure with Sorcerous Blast there was no restriction on trying to blast an Evil model that was in a Fight with one of your Good models. You just couldn't target the good model itself. So if your knock back on the Blast happened to go into some of your own models that was just your risk for bad aim.

I would say the same applies to 'hurl' unless it's clarified otherwise.

But you can't shoot at a model in combat, so why would you be able to throw another model into a combat? I think a good monster cant hurl into combat. It is time that they release a decent FAC.

Magic is not shooting. Hurling is not shooting. The rules explicitly restrict shooting into combat. I'm pretty sure you can Blast an enemy model that is in a combat as well as Hurl at an enemy model that is in a combat.

I figure it depends if you're going to be pedantic about word rulings or go with the feeling behind the rules. It's pretty clear that good guys can't shoot into combat because they are worried about hurting their fellow warriors, so I would assume that you can't deliberately hurl a model into a combat for the same reason.

Imagine Beorn throwing goblins at the BoFA into dwarves, men, and elves alike.
He would not be responsible for how far his enemies landed, just means he'd have to choose where he was hurling them more carefully.

I agree with the above. It's a brutal attack with a lack of control just like sorcerous blast. It's a great attack but can damage your own troops if not carefully with it. Or maybe you don't care if you so hurt your own guys cos maybe its worth it to inflict some damage on an enemy hero or something.

At ToS I asked Mr T these questions and here is what he said he intended
1) you can hurl anywhere
2) you measure from the model doing the hurling
3) you knock down only the models he passes over even if he hits a combat.

But Mr T did say his thoughts don't always end up as FAQ answers or in the book as editors and games developers get to have their say too.

So one member of the combat stays standing? Does the combat continue then, but with the person passed over prone while the other still standing or is the combat nullified?
