Hi everyone, when you begin the game and you deploy a Warband onto the Battleboard can you place your Warband straight onto a piece of terrain? For instance could I deploy my Warband of Archers straight onto a high piece of battlement?

Thanks for that, we played a game last night and we played it that way, that we could place them anywhere, but we weren't sure and didn't wanna spend ages plowing through the rule book to check. Does the terrain piece that you place your men on have to at least be accessible? For instance a piece of terrain that you would be able to climb or jump onto? Not on top of a 10 inch high wall with sheer walls

There are no rules for that sort of thing, so you'll have to house rule it. Any structure like that is bound to give a serious advantage, so you might want to come up with specific scenario rules.

Since the rules changed and I'm not familiar with the new ones about deployment can I ask:

Can you deploy a warband within another warband?

For example a warband of orc spearmen in a warband of uruk hai with shields and pikes so that they can support them.

yup 8) as long as that warband are all within 6" of the warband leader, you can do as you wish.

You can choose to deploy them that way, however the old trick of swordsman supported by spearmen supported by pikes is no longer a legal move with the Hobbit update, to go two deep in support both units must possess pikes
