But, ITW rolls are supposed to be taken before you roll to wound, so your way is actually not legal according to the rules.

Well no, as he's obviously aware, but then neither is group shooting.

Hithero is suggesting an alternate and really quite sensible method of group shooting at a group of enemies of which some are behind cover and some are not. It's clean, efficient and would work well, I'll definitely be implementing that one.

I can't imagine anyone who's OK with group shooting having an issue with it.

So if you fail the ITW roll, you ignore the fact the he 'would' have been killed. There's no more of a chance % wise that he will be killed. :wink: Regardless of what the rules say, in this instance, as long as the mathematical odds are the same, it doesn't matter if you go for it for expediency's sake.
