When a model is defending a Barrier can he be supported by a spear? If yes when hitting the enemy does the spear counts as a defender and ignore the 4+ in the way barrier?

From my understanding a spearman can support a model defending though still does not ignore the 4+ in the way barrier :)

The defender ignores the barrier's in-the-way, so the spear supporter would as well. Under the old rules the spear supporter simply added an attack to the supportee, so the rule wouldn't need clarifying. I'm assuming since they didn't clarify with the new rules, it's treated the same as it used to be.
