Hi there,
Since yesterday I have been working on a Bag End terrain piece. Firstly, I made the front of the house and painted it. Then I quickly stuck the shape of a hill together with foam, and added some details to it (sand in the garden, a wicker fence and a chimney). When the glue has dried, I will paint the whole hill, and then I will glue the front to the hill. After all that has been finished, I will finally add grass and some plants to it. Here are the pictures so far:

You comments would be appreciated! :-D
Cheers

The red bricks around the door and windows needs some work, they look "painted".
Everything else look superb. I really like the chimney.

Nice work and I'm amazed at how quick you've done this. I wish I had that speed.

Thanks. :)
Oldman Willow: No, it's just roughly cut high-density foam.
I finished the piece yesterday evening, and I took pictures this morning. Here it is:

I like the card roof and wattle fence and the colors. The terracotta tiles add a lot to the over all look. I have trouble finding high density foam. It looks like I should try harder to get some.
Cool 8)

The fences - it that the plastic-coated wire that gardeners use? It makes great fencing.
A very neat hobbit home - well done!

Thank you!
Dorthonion: Yes, it is indeed plastic coated gardeners wire. :)

Try Home Depot, the high density foam in the UK sold in B & Q comes covered in a metal film which peels off easy, it's cheap at around £6 for 4ft X 2ft.

Great work on the Hobbit hole. :yay:
