I am looking an evil force. I have a Grey Company force for my good guys, but I can't just have a good force.

I picked up the Moria and Angmar sourcebook, but still can't decide on which army to go for. Angmar is cool with all the spirits and it will fit alongside my Arnor guys. However, Moria has a lot of nice models and more variety.

Any suggestions?

Mix them 8) Sticking a shade behind blackshields is very effective. I find barrow-wights allied with goblins are effective at lower points values when heroes don't tend to have much will.

I would initially suggest Angmar as its probably the "tricksiest" evil army going but, the shade which is absolutely critical to the list is now OOP!

Id vote Moria, I'm a purist in terms of factions but I also love all the monster options

Moria is a lot of fun and Monsters Galore! You can put together armies from the Moria list that will look very different from each other!

Angmar would be a more fitting opponent for the grey company.

I'd take Angmar any day, but Moria aren't too bad.
What I love about Angmar is that they have good supporting heroes, monsters, and pathetic infantry, but ones that can move 6" (as fast as a man and faster than goblins). This is vital, as otherwise, when you come up against someone like the Grey Company, your opponent will "turn on skirmish mode".

Every time I have played Angmar vs Arnor the forces of Evil have been decimated before they even get to close combat, and then have been overwhelmed! The grey company will be similar I would assume!

Moria doesn't fit too badly against Rangers either - Orc invasions, wargs attacking, some wandering trolls!
Moria is the horde with some brutal monsters thrown in. Swarm them or smash them. More variety in normal troops, but they aren't necessarily very different (i.e.: whether they are Blackshiels or normal Warriors, they simply charge and die or kill).
Angmar will often be smaller, but with more subtle ways of annoying and killing the opponent. Still will get decent numbers though, and has a good choice of monsters too.
The latter is probably a bit more interesting to play because of the spirits and magic. Don't think you can beat the visual appeal of a horde of Goblins swarming over the board though, trolls and worse towering over them, drums pounding in the distance...

Moria is my preference - the better lists will make use of models from both ranges. Moria has plenty of options to make your force different - Troll heavy, Blackshields and Basics, Druzhag and some beasts (wargs or spiders), Warg Marauders & of course Dragons and the Balrog - plenty of variety so you can mix and match forces and not relying on the Witch King or Gulhavar.

Plus, the look cool..
