Time to pick what you would like to paint for the first challenge of 2014.

Definitely monsters, at least a chance to enter for most people. And just a single model to paint as well - albeit a big one.

Gone for the elf heroes, I've got Tauriel and Thranduil both awaiting the brush. That said, I'm also hoping to get the Beorn bear done in Jan (assuming he's released next month) so I could probably enter something for monsters too. Just as long as it's not White - the glue's still wet on Azog on the White Warg's base! :-) Could always do him on foot I suppose...

I voted Monster. I don't own any DOS figures and doubt financially I'll be able to purchase one before then

I voted monsters simply because I assume most people have one or two (or dozens, ahem) thereby giving more people the opportunity to enter the fray.

Aw damn, most people have voted monsters when I don't have any :-(

I chose white, just because I have Saruman, Galadriel and Lord Elrond awaiting the white paint scheme.

Just so I know, do spectres and shades count as monsters? Haven't got the Arnor book, so I don't know. I'm pretty sure they're not though :-(

I'll see what's to enter after Christmas :-D

If your stuck and monstes wins then a spectre or a shade will be acceptable.
Merry xmas.

I'd like to see Palace Guards because the way people paint gold really differs. Wouldn't mind monsters though, got a couple of trolls to paint.

I have Tauriel and goblin king to paint, surely goblin king would count as a monster anyway?

Sure I included Goblin King in the poll just in case lots of people wanted to have a crack at that particular mini.

I voted Thranduil / Legolas / Tauriel, but all the list is good, looking forward to this one.

Would Mirkwood Spiders be acceptable if monsters wins, they aren’t technically but are on a monster base?

Thanks DMS.

I voted elf hero, but it looks like monsters will probably win.

@Harfoot - I'm glad you painted them too early - they were far too good. ; )
