yep they can´t but nothing tells you that you can´t place on the table edge near your oponent deployment to get goblins moving through your oponent sideways into his deployment :P.
If you want an easy way to spawm goblins cast fury around the scribe, D3 goblins every turn you cast it :)

Check the FAQ. They have to come on from the same board edge as the scribe in recon.

Quote:

Always More Where They Came From.
Add a third paragraph to this section that reads as follows:
ʻIn the Reconnoitre scenario, any additional Goblins
summoned in this way must move on from the same board
edge as the Goblin Scribe.

Two ways to interpret this.
1.) The same board edge means where the scribe is currently positioned. So if you moved him to one of the side edges they could spawn along that edge.

2.) The same board edge means your deployment board edge. So they could only spawn along your back edge.

This is what I think GW had in mind to stop the scribe being auto win in recon. If I was playing with or against the scribe, I'd use the second interpretation.

therfore, you need to calculate the number of pieces you can lose before you are broken and once that many have died then your force is broken.

So even if you add goblins with the scribe then your force breaks at the same calculated point from the start of the game. You could start with 20 pieces and after several turns have 30 pieces on the board but if 10 have died throughout the course of the game, time to stand fast & courage test.

So this includes the Goblins you have spawned? If they dont affect the breaking point shoudnt they also not count when killed?

No, they definately HAVE To count. Otheriwse there is a silly thing of having to be able to tell the 27 goblins the scribe brought on from the 60 goblins in your army.

The table edge thing... anyone who tried to argue it is the edge the scribe is in contact wth deserves a slow and painful.... haircut
It is definately the edge the scribe moved on from.
