I'm sure this has been asked before but I can't find a thread. Does anyone have any experience of an army consisting of Saruman, Gandalf and Radagast? All mounted they are conveniently 500pts so I can't imagine no one has used this list before! Is it a viable army?

Probably wouldn't work as a viable army, cant hold objectives. The Fall of the Necromancer sourcebook has a scenario with the three of them v.s. castellians and wargs so you might wanna check it out.

Tons of fun and soooo fluffy but really uncompetitive, it's just got no killing power. Sorcerous Blasting twice a turn won't get it done against most armies and as VandalCabbage says it hasn't got a chance at most of the scenarios. It would be fun if your opponent got into the spirit and deliberately picked a fluffy army to fight it but against most armies, a few turns in you'll get trapped and Heroic Struck to death.

As always with these lists, all that matters is why you're doing it, if you want to win games, probably not, if you want to have fun and get a warm reception form your opponents, bring the Istari!

I'm not, at the moment, considering using this army. I just wondered.
