So I have heard whisperings of yet more unreleased stuff. Apparently there were two versions of Arwen made and rejected by Liv Tyler herself before they went with the 'original' (which was also rejected but GW went with it anyway). Would love to see those.
Also heard a rumor the the alternative Thorin's Company may now be unreleased. Everything from AUJ should have been released by now and because it still remains unseen, I doubt that we will ever see in on general sale

So my challenge to you Jim is to get both of the above :lol:

Can someone please tell me how rare are the metal unarmoured haldir with sword, the metal unamoured haldir with bow, and the original Halbarad with standard?

the most common of all the rare metals. always see the elves on ebay. halbarad may be worth a little bit more but I think he is still on the GW website.

I just finally bought the "rare" Theoden model on foot of him with his helmet on, with shield out, in full battle armour.

You'd be lucky to get 50% retail for those. Haldir is pretty common, halbarad is pretty common too and not really used that much to warrant it.

Same goes for the hobbits. Hold onto them for a bit and you might get an increase or just put them all in one lot for a high starting price and see if you get a buyer. The ebay prices have been higher as of the last 2 months, so now is a good time.

There was a time when there was quite some demand and prices could get pretty high (also aided by the fact that Fatty and Lobelia were cheap 'deployment drops' and thus pretty useful in game terms), but that was when the models were out of production; later they were re-released in finecast, even at a surprisingly reasonable price (in comparison to Moria Goblin Commanders for example), so I doubt those are going for too much these days.
That being said, I'd be quite interested in another set of metals, some more diversity in my Hobbit army is always welcome!

Lobelia went for around £50 when she was metal only, as she wasn't part of the same set and went OOP in metal before the others.

Well I just bought Lobelia off ebay. Not worth the money for my own use but as a potential investment. Maybe when GW drops LOTR she'll become a valuable tool for sale or miniature trade.

With the recast in finecrap the price of lobelia should be 3-4 £ max, if you find the guy who absolutely wants the metal mini maybe something more but I wouldn't count on that

There was only 2 foot sculpts. I have the 3rd outrider aswell, it is rare but I wouldn't say it is worth loads. £15 tops to a collector maybe?

A couple of years ago I bought around 10 off GW mail order as they supplied them at random until I got all the different sculpts, luckily a friendly shop manager would let me return the ones I had back then.

in the book of Legions of Middle Earth, a certain elven hero was mentioned, Celembrimbor, along with another hero's profile, Gil-Galad whose profile also could be upgraded with a mount.
These should also hit the market, i suppose, with a long-awaited Elven Realms supplement that never happened.
Do you happen to know, whether there were sculpts for these characters? or even artworks??
