Sorry for the late reply! In relation to knife in the dark! I basically used tale of the painter website guide!
Basically undercoat black (obv)
Start with skin use dawnstone and I highlights the muscles with ulthuan grey! After that I used a mix of lahmian medium (75%) and on these orcs I used skag brown (25%)! Apply to the skin! I touched up highlights again this time with rat skin flesh! Then used seraphim sepia all over the skin! I used a bit of agrax earth shade also to darken some areas also ( face, arm pits stuff like that ha)
Then I just painter cloth/leather layiering with browns and some parts reds!
I have done a fair few more now keeping the same technique just changed the skin colour a bit by using either bug mans glow, rat skin flesh and a mix of Loren green and ogryn camo! Mix these with lahmian flesh and use the correct wash or glaze to the colour and turns out quite good! I'll post some more pictures soon!

Bit of an update on few things. Beorn and bear have joined up with my elves and Azog's army is still on-going!
