Finally done with mounted Theodred! Very pleased with how the horse turned out. Image quality isn't the best because the pics were taken on my phone.

Looking forward to your advice and feedback -- are the skin tones improved since my last Theodred?

Next up is my entry for the June challenge --- I will likely crack open my EFGT set and paint some of Thorin's company.

I really like all of the detail on the horse and on his armour! I also like the base too, great work!

Here's a Legolas I painted, from the Heroes of Helm's Deep set. Really pleased with the quiver, and a quality mini overall I think. Apologies for the image quality.

The quiver does look good! As does the base. The whole piece does look good those are just my favorite aspects

Here is my latest miniature, Haldir. Very happy with this one. Did his eyes very well, and very colorful all-around. Looking forward to hearing what everyone thinks, and for advice.

Very good indeed and so you should be proud. The reds are wonderful, smooth blending.
My only point is I don't see any pupils / iris in his eyes, the white seems a little unusual.

Love the cloak, it looks great! Also really like the base, what did you use for it?

@Gandlaf the Grey - to fix it would you suggest just putting a black dot in his eyes in the future?

@ Amy - Thanks! The base is coated in citadel sand material, which was painted with black, scorched brown, bestial brown, then fine highlights of bleached bone and white. The rock was carved from an old cork, painted dark grey, followed by highlights of lighter greys and whites. Then I applied citadel dead grass, and some autumnal colored grasses I bought at a local hobby store. I also used some miniature leaves, and the twiggish thing is from the bag of leaves I bought as well.

Thanks everyone!

Yes, just a black dot will do the trick perfect. Make sure the dot hits the top and bottom of the eye lining as white all the way round the black dot will make it look odd.

I also noted the eyes were all white, or he appears to be looking up (perhaps having just been cleaved in the head by an Uruk from behind). So I would indeed try to do a black dot and if feeling up to it, do a light catch too (you can see examples of that in Gandalf's work on his eagle).
I think the colors are beautiful and very well executed all around. I like the autumn colors on the base as well.

I don't know if it showed up well in the picture, but I tried to dot the right side of both eyes with a very light blue - it could probably use a black dot as well.

Due to the size of the figure I would avoid anything but black, that's what maybe the issue is as the blue you have used has been too light to show up in the photo.

The model and the painting in overall is amazing, but i really like the base, very nice touch.
Also very nice shape on the eyebrows, gives the eyes a ''live'' looking to the bows direction. Simply great!!!

Tough model to paint is Gamling and you've done the sculpt justice. You should be pleased with it. Only criticism i have is pick the little bits of flock off the base rim.

Well done - awesome

Is that supposed to be snow or dead grass?
