This is kind of a silly question, to which I think I know the answer. Amdur, lord of blades has his special rule which says that easterlings treat him as a banner. Does this include himself? My initial response is that it does NOT. However, I thought I'd ask to ensure I correctly interpretted the special ability. As usual, please support with rulings/faq's

I thought exactly the same thing at first, but then I read somewhere that he does indeed get to use the banner effect on himself? I might be wrong though..

A part of me really hopes he does, because without it, he is very lackluster. His stats are okay, the built in banner is cool as is the whole, "i don't fall over" gig, but there is really nothing in their that makes me see his profile and say, "yeah, he's a lord of swords!" The banner rule effecting himself would reflect that. At least for me it would.

"Effects Easterlings as a banner".
Is Amdur an Easterling?
Yes.
Therefore Amdur gets the effect.
;)

What about a normal banner bearer. Do they get the banner effect for themselves?

The FAQ says that he does get the benefit.
I would say that the normal banners are entitled to the same.

Is the faq still available? Where can i find it. I'd like to look it over. I have more questions and I don't to keep posting questions when the answers are readily available.
