Good to have you back in the fold Paul. It looks good but the test piece is excellent, once you have it all done to that level this will be a truly amazing piece of terrain.
I've been wonderful for ages how this has been coming along.

The natural rock effect looks brilliant. Great work. I'll be interested to see how those photo-etched vines turn out. I have a few in the terrain box and was never sure what to do with them.

Exciting! Great work so far. I love the variable tones you have achieved in the stonework, and the etched leaves look like a very good match.

There were leaves and other plant debris in and around the tower. Maybe some of the leaves need to be cut from the vines and scattered on the pavement, but you might find a more effective or cost efficient way of doing that.
Looks magnificent already!

Oh man! Harfoot that Weathertop looks gorgeous, really authentic looking colour scheme, much better than the way I normally do rocks, any chance of a step-by-step? Can't wait to see what you come up with for the plants, always enjoy seeing your work - keep it up buddy!

About time Paul, you've been missed.
Great job on these and if you ever get the chance can you do some close ups so I can see what's exactly going on.

I was painting this for last months Competition but did not enter in time. Dr.Grant mentioned about re-positioning the figure, i will if i ever paint another, I am a bit strange on my collecting, if i only have 1 of a figure it must be painted in the position the sculptor made it in. I will only convert or move a figure i have 2 or more of.

Before I painted it i liked the sculpt, but not so much now, the Sword hilt is ridiculously out of proportion, the hands are to small and the cloth on the left shoulder is to large compared to the film Bilbo it is based on. I doubt I will buy another, but still a nice addition to my display cabinet.

I can see what you mean about the sculpt. Too dramatic and explosive with movement for our dear Bilbo. But looks like it would make an awesome Merry model.
The elves are fantastic, great base work.

The hilt almost seems to basic a point to make you wonder how it got through the final examination before going into production !
I never noticed it before but you are right, surely whoever painted this first would have noticed ?
Anyway, nice to see some work from you Paul, nice ;)

There seems to be bothering me on Aragorns facial expression, something looks odd.
But i already know how hard those faces can be sometimes.. And how it looks worse on pictures. But in overall the mini's look well painted up. Great work, good colours mate. Love that orc!
