shiney stuff is the flash - i have no clue how to take decent pictures; witouth flash it's always to dark.
And yeah painting over the artificial fern is a good idea to make it look better.
I tought about it b4 but i kinda got to lazy to execute that one. :-) hehe
Maybe i will make some time to do that someday. I crave to paint up my mini's first tough. Might do another one soon before my holidays end.

Ok quite a while, since my last post. Mostly work and comic book drawing has been consuming my time. Most of the time, i felt to tired to start painting.
But i finally did some work on Legolas again.

Nicely executed base there and a very clever idea.

I was once through my stash. I think it was 2005 or 2006, can't remember, but once they started releasing models again I was sunk and never climbed out of it. My poor reaper collection has been sidelined for a long time.
But it is great to make these milestones, now you can just buy small lots here and there and add to armies at your leisure.

After all this time, i haven't done a lot on my fortress. Nearly finished the gate when i realised that i ran out of matching sticks to finish it up.
Been doing some little wood work here and there. Still nothing new to paint up. I haven't bought any new mini's yet. Maybe i should get myself to sculpt something. But i haven't gotten that far yet...

Looks fantastic! I love the old dirty, worn down feel of it although it doesn't quite seem to spread to the wood and the grass. Perhaps you could a rough, dirty wash to tie them in with the rest of the piece?

Very nice anyhow

I hade some old trees standing around - i never liked the different bases so...
CD bases, i like the uniform look it brings! But it does take in alot of space. I don't have that space. I got lucky to find a little spot by removing some supports.
I still got more trees to do, but i am not sure if i would do even more. It takes in quite some space and to be honest - i haven't used my terrain alot. But i can't get myself to throw stuff away either. Makes it a bit troublesome.

It's been a while, but i finally have managed to get some stuff to paint.
I have been hunting down a beastie like this for a while now. Finally got one and that for only 35 euro! Gotta strip the paint of some of the guys. But considering that one of the parts of the mumak had a little paint on it, i think it might be witouth basecoat and therefore easier to remove that paint off. It will take a while to prepare it all up for painting. But it's nice to know that i am back for some paint work. Got lots of drawing work to do to with a deadline coming up. But i will get to the painting sooner or later.
