Today, I supported my Hobbit Hobby by...

Receiving my latest GW purchase in the mail: Arwen, foot & mounted, for the Tale of 20 Painters, and Gandalf on Cart for my Istari collection. Just need Radagast on his sleigh to have all of them (unfortunately, not all painted yet).

What did you do today?

I supported a thriving ebay marketplace for SBG - received the GW Helms Deep gate and wall, which needed some repairs (and have just finished repairing it - good as new, and one regret from so long ago crossed off my list) and put the War of the Ring book and expansion up for sale. Also happy now to report that my LotR collection now has every major faction represented at least at 600 points, and some up towards 2000 points (will mordor ever stop growing?)! Hobbit time now, ho!

By buying more than I probably should have at the 50% sale at miniature market. That and not able to resist the free shipping to the US from warlord games has put a big dent in my hobby budget.

By finishing the wooden part of the spears and the leather straps on thirty guards of the fountain court( with shields). Just need to paint the metal tip on the spear, the border of the shield and finish the base.

Got some work done on my diorama base. It's moving along but too slowly for my liking.

Began the process of repainting my Moria Goblins. These minis came from the original fellowship boxed game - and were painted at that time. This morning I replaced the bases (flock and green edge to nice clean ones I can do something nice with) and now I've started the base coat.

Made decent progress on painting some more of my Harad and Gondor forces over the weekend. I have also arranged a game for next weekend with someone who has never played any wargame before.

In a move that actually surprised myself, I've ordered some Hobbit figures for the first time ever. Sure, I've got hundreds of LotR miniatures already, but never bought anything from the Hobbit range (nor indeed anything from GW in a few years, or at full RRP at that).
Looking forward to seeing the Eagles and Elves arrive.

I actually did some painting today! Continued working on my three Wood Elf Sentinels, Wood Elf captain, Wood Elf banner bearer and a Legolas, all in the same color scheme matching with the rest of my current in the making Mirkwood army.

And more troops are on the way, for I got some 18 plastic Wood Elf warriors cheap this week. But I do need to strip them (hides away)
