That Guard of the Fountain Court is the best example I have ever seen! The realism is staggering, and I love the trim on the armour. The shading on the tunic is also incredible. I can't wait to see the final diorama

Thanks for the words of support. I've already got the next figure painted, which I will get photographed soon.
I've a hell of a lot to do though and I think I need to finished 2-3 figures a week to get this done and that is without the work needed on the base !!!
Bearing in mind I usually do about 1-2 figures a month...

It's not so much the patience to put detail in, it's the desire to improve and create something I'm pleased with. It's that what pushes me on to better things, hopefully.
I just hope I can finish this thing. Work is pushing me to the limits with 7 straight 12 hour shifts. Oh yes and I dont get a break.....

A brief update of where I am.
I've made a start on the base as I fear I may run out of time painting all the figures I want to add, so to control that, if the base is done I can add the figures I get finished.
It's not an exact copy but a variant on the White Tree and the fountain.

:o I hate it when that happens. Did any of the paint chip? If not then it shouldn't be too hard to get it fixed up and back to normal. I dropped my Sauron a while back and the arm came off and part of the base broke. Fortunately none of the paint chipped on the figure itself, but the base needed some more work.

Great stuff by the way. Everything looks excellent, the armor on the troll looks especially good.

Bit of paint chipping I'm sorry to say. I've got it back together and hopefully all will be okay. It's left overnight for the glue to set solid then I will look at re working the paint chips.

Nothing worse than dropping a painted miniature but at least nothing broke (fragile sword and spears are murder for this).
