This will become a great looking army!!
Agree with the people above, I think the plumes do not really look like something of Middle earth.
What you could consider is big wings, like the fountain guards have, this is more Gondorian and will fit the rest of your army better.

Hmm, I actually quite like the plumes. I think of the Numenoreans as (very roughly) Middle-Earth's equivalent to Romans or maybe Romano-British, and the crest looks good, IMO, especially between the wings on the sides of the helmets. They're also a nice identifier for your officers, and frankly we have so little, in terms of movie-based aesthetics, for the Numenoreans, that really I think you're free to take them almost any direction you wish.

Nice conversions all around.

The Roman connection is valid, but I do agree they're a little too much. A bit too big, considering the wings on the helmet. Perhaps one of the horsehair 'topknot' style ones might be a suitable alternative.

But then again it's not my army, so I should probably shut up. It is a very lovely force, though - and I love the conversions of the characters. Tempting me to expand my numenoreans myself...

Hey guys - thanks for the feedback!

I thought I'd get comments on the Axe wielding to be honest...although its more of an aesthetic thing.

Yeah...I've always seen the Numenorian as Roman esque...I was looking at getting some warlord games Officers/General and use them for Numenor before I decided to convert my own.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion...but I think the plumes look awesome ;)

And as the Grey Knight mentioned above, It makes the captains stand out more.

Updates on the way...

Im going to join the side that sais that the plumes are too big, they just look a bit... well, too big. having said that, i do think that a smaller version would look awesome, though i'd have to add that i'm a sucker for roman spartan style warriors. All the cool characters in my space marine force have a nice roman plume ;)
