I read the rule for the axe, and I got it..., kinda'.
The axe can count as a spear or a two handed weapon.
Can it also count as an axe? (I said this outloud to myself, and I sound so dum)

Does the special strike work in combination resulting in an increase Strength (if fight won) and a bonus on the wound?

If you elect to use it as a 2 handed Axe, you may then elect to use the special strike for axes, but if you elect to use it as a spear, you may not use any special strikes.

Lee your Axemen will not split the Hunter Orcs skulls!

But yes, you can do many things with it as they answered already.

Yeah, it's a little bit confusing as the original Axemen profile was written long before the introduction of special strikes and all that. Basically anything pre-Hobbit is armed with whatever you see. Since the Hobbit rules, most profiles specify what type of hand weapon a model is using.
