I was going to wait till I had an opportunity to photograph them all properly but here is just a small sneak preview...
Hope to get better pics soon.

Lovely work mate. I need to revisit my Warriors of Erebor and make them decent.

Finished up this crew earlier. Think these along with my Grim Hammers are perhaps the first whole bunch of models I've ever actually fully completed!
Although I'm sure I could keep touching them up and adding tiny details and highlights forever but you gotta call it a day sometime right.

I tend to get towards the finish with lots of things and then start on something else...

Need to crack on getting the rest of my projects done now.

So much to do!

Just going through a few photos and remembered I never uploaded these.

This is one of my most favourite mini's ever and was probably the most fun I've had painting. An excellent sculpt and I was really pleased with how he came out.
Got to love the old metal models!

Slight change up from Dwarves...

Started these a few months back but just getting around now to finishing off the final details and highlights.

Again, these old metal models are such a joy to paint.

Cheers man. They are tricky for sure. Soooo many intricate details, they take quite a bit of time.
Lots of gold! Which is why working on those dwarves provided a nice change!

I'd like to try and bring out the chainmail slightly to give it a different vibe from the main armour.

I like the chainmail as is buddy. I know what you mean by bring it out more but i think the shade it is now adds to the overall feel of the group.

I like it as it is too to be honest so may leave it for now :)

Thanks man. Started off with a base of Warplock Bronze followed by a mix of Balthasar Gold, Warplock and Auric Armour. Then just a light dry brush of Auric Armour, before adding tiny bits of Mithril Silver to the mix to bring out the highlights etc. Finally a wash of Seraphim Sepia and a little Agrax Earthshade thrown in for good measure.

I've just gotta decide on basing for them now... Thinking maybe some kind of paving stones to represent Helms Deep a little. Not really sure. Going to try and avoid making them too elaborate like the Dwarves.

Here are some Wood Elves painted last autumn. I annoyingly never quite got around to finishing them off properly... Even though people moan about these models I actually really enjoyed painted them. They lack detail yes, but still fun to chuck paint at nonetheless. :)

And below is a quick WIP shot of where I'm currently at with my Galadhrim Knights. Started these towards the end of last year, and have slowly been working my way through them ever since. Enjoyed taking my time, but those white horses take an age to build up properly! I still have another unopened box of them on my shelf as well!
Think I'm gonna stick to finishing these off for now before starting on the next six...

Beautiful work - while details can be time-consuming, the mini looks all the better for having been painted well rather than half-heartedly.
I like the Galadhrim metals ( I have a 'few'....)
