Thanks everyone! @DMS, I've been waiting for you to paint some Easterlings for a very long time now, I'm curious to see how you'll go about painting them.

I knew I'd be pretty high up since I've entered in like 18 challenges, but I was shocked to see my name in the top five. Now I just need to find some Mordor miniatures...
The drummer is standing at a bit of an angle, but I like garmenhorde's explanation, so I'll go with that :)

I'll try to post an actual update tomorrow

:) Thank you

Here is a small update. I think this will my entry for this months challenge. I'll post better pictures when I base it and everything.
ImageImage

As you can tell, I went for a dark and dirty approach with this one, and I think it fits it well. It is an orc after all. I'm starting to regret the blood splatter on the face though, I think the paint was too thick when I applied it, and it just looks a little bit off. I don't really went to paint over it though because I put a lot of effort in the face and don't want to mess it up anymore.
C&C welcome, I'm going for that #1 spot, so any help sill be greatly appreciated.

Great to see you so motivated POW - you have clearly upped your game. Face and skin is fantastically disgusting - just as an orc should be. Good luck in the challenge bro.

Wow, that was fast, thank you!

Just as a side note, I was sick when I painted this, so that might be why it's so gross ;)

Unfortunately I only have a handful of orcs left and I probably won't get around to painting them for a while.

I didn't do much painting this last week, but I'm currently working on basing my orc. I'll try and post some pictures later.

I think the blood looks great. I would go so far as to say it would be awesome if a slight misting was also present, but it is very hard to do that (maybe after the contest you can experiment as to not ruin the skin tones you have here).
The base is great. Rusty armor is also working well.
