Some really smooth blending on the cloaks. To be honest you can push the highlights further and by using the technique you have you can really make these pop.

Nice work on this. The figure is very small so to get details like the eye is an accomplishment for anybody.
Re the shine, have you used a flash or do you need to consider a Matt varnish ?

I didn't use a flash and used Matt vernish, it's indeed strange, the shine...

Are you sure you give the varnish a good shake before hand. I have known it do this when its not mixed properly. You can apply another coat on top of this if it wasn't mixed.
