Nice job, what stands out to me is your paintjob on the metal shields, I like it!

Nice job on the Morannons here! I think the armours would look really nice if you gave them some glazes in a very dark green or reddish brown, then maybe followed by a black glaze and some highlighting, that makes the armours more interesting, looks very worn out, and is more realistic than a plain transition from black to silver. Even a tiny bit of very dark blue works sometimes. It might even work with a very dark green/brown on the wood of the shields, I am not sure about that though...
Cheers,
Bennet

Lovely idea for the stolen Gondor shields. Nice freehand, you seem to have talent.

How did I miss this thread? Nicely painted minis, comfy hobbit homes and a well-appointed gaming board. Well done!

If I could spare a teddy from my daughter then... :) I think I'll go with putty and toothpick technique.

And here is one river section finished. I'm also working on some river reed.

I like the cottage very much!

Image

I make the grasses modular. The water is Modge Podge over true blue Plaid craft paint. I like to use tin caps for bases because they are thin.

Image

I think I would like to make Crickhollow as well. The cottage is inspirational.

Thanx guys for your comments! And Oldman Willow thank you for the idea for basing reeds.

Here is finished cottage ready for painting:

I added the roof part to the side and brick work next to chimney 'cause I managed to find pictures with better angles of Sideshow\Weta Bucklebury ferry, which was my main inspiration.

Very nice. I have not seen the side show thanks for pointing it out.
I am glad you liked the idea for basing reeds. I made a gross for the Pirate game.I mixed pea gravel with a few.
I was inspired to add the ferry hut to my project list. Very Cool :D
