Yes! I was lucky enough to get a set before, but I could use about 5-6 of these.

Sweet they just added the Fallen Realms sourcebook to the GW website! Any reason why there is still no Free peoples sourcebook :(?

I suspect GW are waiting for the Free Peoples books to be in the right place.

From what I understand they need to be in the various warehouses around the world before being put on the web store.

Anyone know what other heroes they're bringing back? Like Beregond?

The Scouring of the Shire (in metal) is back! And it's only £33.

Suck it, eBay scalpers!

The Free People's book is back too! Temporarily out of stock already but fear not, it'll be back :-)

As for other models coming back, the Shade will definitely be back soon and the ones I have heard 'heavy' hints about are Halbarad, Girion, Gandalf the Grey mounted and Knight of the Pelennor. I'm sure there'll be many more though. Their manifesto on the topic is that you should be able to buy every hero from the game and they will be prioritising iconic characters from the books and films.

Any guesses as to why they seem to be reinvesting into LOTR SBG so discreetly? I would think they would want to make a big public announcement to generate excitement for their product. And not at some closed door event where only a handful of players can give us second hand information

If you’re talking about the presentation at Throne of Skulls. It was open to anyone, not just those with tickets (I know of people who only came along to the presentation, not the whole weekend).

The Middle-earth team also did a presentation at Warhammer Fest and I think will be doing one at Ardacon.

The team are really passionate about the game and I expect most of their current time is taken up working on great new products.

I would be so amazed/excited to see some new products for the LotR line, or just alot of reproductions from OOP products :).

Precisely what I'm talking about. The people in attendance were only a fraction of those who play the game. I just don't see the point of their smoke and mirrors. My other hobby is to play Star Wars X-wing. When they release new products, they write up a whole article about what is being released and when players can expect to have them in their hands. They do this online for all to see to generate excitement for the game. If I owned a company, I would rather my customers hear any news I had from me and not shaky speculation from someone with now affiliation with my company. The other gamers and I have discussed this and it seems to us that GW has nothing to gain from not advertising this direction they are taking the game.
I am stoked they are bringing some of the models back. I just hope if they ever discontinue them again that they will give us a heads up rather then the model suddenly being unavailable to us without warning.

Does anyone have any news about any upcoming GW releases of OOP models ? Or about the status of some of the released but quickly sold out items like the Ruins of Osgiliath and/or the Sourcebooks ?

I think we’re still waiting for the Shade to be rereleased.

In 2 weeks is the ForgeWorld open day so there will probably be more news again then.

the quickly sold out items are being replaced, last time I looked the Ruins of Osgiliath was in stock, I’m sure at some point in the last week all the sourcebooks were in stock too. So they are being restocked.

Iron Hills dwarves are to be released in September I think. Those would be the first new models, but no idea what others could be re-released in the meantime.
