Nice greens in the gold, ages it very well. Bases are very fitting and set the scene.

Thanks. The green was supposed to be much stronger originally. I was using the film poster for lotr with the first age warriors for inspiration but I guess the painting went in a different direction.

I've been retaking photos of my older models using my new camera. The troll captain is still one of my favourites.

It took me 3 days, but i've seen every post in this topic.. And I just don't now what to say. The progression is worldclass.. It's also nice that you gave me a lot homework to do, like the different brands of paints, painters, techniques, how does airbrush work etc. Thanks (also to others), I subscribed to your topic.

Thanks guys.

There will be hobbit tutorials coming at some point. I have a few projects, which are taking longer than expected, to finish off first but I have a set of laketown characters that will be the first tutorials with the new camera.

The way you have done the cloth on Erestor is stunning. Incredibly realistic.

Those are really stunning, the purple is so vibrant and eye catching, while the detail that you have managed to provide is just gorgeous, congratulations on a job well done!

The colours are so rich and opulent, suits the Master and his flunky's to a tee.

Cirdan has proven a tough one to make the most of (some people don't like the head sculpt) but your rendition s superb!

Thanks. I was concerned about the colours on the captain as they look even more vibrant in real life. I guess they're supposed to look ostentatious. Not a colour scheme I would have picked myself.
