Barun, be patient! It is simply the most astonishing, accurately-planned, stunningly-built and amazingly-painted couple of scenarios and miniatures ever seen after all :P
Apart for the jokes, his plans for Helm's deep and Minas Tirith (in "work in progress" section) are nothing short of legendary

Ah, sometimes life interferes and throws a curveball or two, and prevents one from focusing on hobbies. The campaign will continue, that I promise. I am slowly preparing for Amon Hen, painting figs and planning an add-on Argonath terrain piece. We must still ask for a bit more patience, good people - a batrep plus making-of will appear in due time!

The Fellowship is not hasty, and they enjoy the elven hospitability in Lothlorien just a bit more. The campaign is alive, though I dare not give hard promises as to when we play the Amon Hen scenario. All I say now is expect a batrep when you see a batrep!

It must be rather flattering for Celevue that even if he is silent for months on end people still remember this awesome campaign and can't wait for more

Indeed it is - and it motivates me immensely! I've been... delayed with the gaming hobby, but am finally getting to the point where I can again devote more time to it. I owe you a behind-the-scenes update, which I hope to get to in the coming weeks.

After Amon Hen, I will put some effort in building Helm's deep terrain - I need to get it off my workbench by summer, as the workbench starts its slow transformation into a railway layout around July.

Now, I hate to bebother and confusticate you, O greatest of Storytellers, but I do have one question:
During the course of your travels, how are the effects of the Ring represented best? Because if Boromir can fall victim to its desire, surely it would make for quite the dynamic story if any one of the Fellowship could. Let alone the effects it could have on the Ringbearer, a la Frodo's corruption in Orodruin, at the end, traditionally.
I'd love to hear your thoughts, and as to whether these would be valid points to bring up in a game, like this.

They are certainly valid points, and we have given this some thought already. We are already using the "Shadow of the Ring" rule as described in the Battle Games in Middle Earth #60 for the current part of the campaign; i.e. one Fellowship member, chosen by the evil side upon the Fellowship leaving Rivendell, slowly falls under the power of the Ring. Whether this happens fast enough to have an effect at Amon Hen remains to be seen. Depending on what happens there, we will likely choose another member to fall under the Shadow of the Ring as Frodo's journey (hopefully) continues. As for Frodo himself, we will activate the "Power of the Ring" special rule from BGIME #77 towards the end of the campaign. Originally that rule is for the "End of All Things" scenario only, but we may choose to invoke the rule in a limited fashion (Exhaustion / Corruption / Lure of the Ring once per game, not once per turn) already a few games earlier. But we will certainly use that rule to the full at the Crack of Doom.

Oh, okay!
I was only curious, because it seems rather strange to have the breaking of the Fellowship, if the fall is only limited to Boromir; many thanks, and keep up the excellent work!

Question, as I am not sure what I will be doing myself when I get my own LOTR campaign underway (can I say, on a tangent, give Celevue some credit with delays - I know campaigns that have started before he did, putting far less artistic effort in, and are still *behind* him; and I have not gotten off first ground!) - what happens to Boromir if he survives Amon Hen? Is he going to follow Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli (a la BFME1) or is he going to maybe head for Minas Tirith (with Merry &/or Pippin if they avoid capture)?

I am LOVING this thread so far, keep up the great work!!

PS one point on Shadow of The Ring - I would strongly recommend cancelling it after Amon Hen (as per BGiME do in their rules set). It just seems a little absurd that Legolas, for example, might suffer Thrall of The Ring at Helm's Deep with the Ring a thousand miles away ;-)

Thanks for the kind words! And for the record, I've dusted my tools and started working on Helm's Deep again (was planning on doing the Argonath terrain piece first, but needed to clear some working space, so Helm's Deep got my attention first).

Boromir will undoubtedly eventually head for Minas Tirith, but we'll have to see what happens to the hobbits at Amon Hen - if they are captured, I'm sure Boromir would want to join the rescue.

No need to fear absurdities - Shadow of the Ring rule naturally follows the Ring, so it would only affect Frodo's companions.

Your campaign, Sir Celevue, is my only reason for occasionally still popping up here and take a look at the battle reports section ;)

Any updates on the campaign? I miss reading the batreps and seeing the awesome terrain and minis you made.

Oh I'm sorry... I've been delayed, again. Life has a funny way of getting in the way of hobbies sometimes. All I can say is that the campaign is still ongoing; I'm clearing workspace and slowly scribing tiling on Helm's Deep, so that I can then finally focus on some additional terrain for the next campaign scenario, Amon Hen.

Meanwhile, you might want to check a blog page I set up just to practice the format - but it serves as a nice summary of the campaign and has links back to One Ring for individual batreps. Here's a direct link to the LotR page of the blog: https://celevue.wordpress.com/models/lotr/.

You'll find a small post on Helm's Deep on the blog as well, but I will post a bigger update to OR once I get the tower done.

That's all right- I understand being delayed. The last post I made on my blog was a minor update a year ago  Thanks for the link- I'll make sure to check it out.

Looking forward to seeing your next update
