Rules for Anborn and Mablung now on the Warhammer Community site:

https://www.warhammer-community.com/202 ... orcements/

I like the special rule for Anborn ... a free might point to use when shooting. Simple but potentially very useful, particularly perhaps for sniping out hero's horses.

The Quest of the Ringbearer book must be coming fairly soon now too.

Anborn will be useful, I think Narzug has the same rule but it really does help scoring a wound with that S2 bow. If you need a 6 to wound then you could use the boost and the might point for 4+. Great against heroes and getting wounding VP against the leader.

Mablung seems like he will certainly give you the edge against other shooting armies.

Mablung definitely looks like he is going to be the new go to minor ranger hero over both Damrod and Anborn thanks to his special rule. Anborn isn't bad, but Birdcalls seems like it would be much more useful in getting the most damage out of a small group of dedicated bowmen by making them largely immune to return fire.

I was assuming that theses guys would be part of the Ithilien legion but that does not seem to be the case a present. Maybe they will get added in the source book itself.
